Pouff with chromium-plated steel frame. Springing by hide straps. Seat and back upholstered with polyurethan foam. Leather covering.
History:
Designed in 1929 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Designed for the "Deutscher Werkbund" Pavilion at the World Exhibition, Barcelona 1929. This model is generally referred to us the "Barcelona stool". As with the chair, the square upholstery detailing is attributed to Lilly Reich.
